My EBS Presentation
Last weekend we made a commercial advertising about Coca Cola. This is my assighment in EBS and also gave me a awesome experience I have ever had. We discussed and planed it for one week ago, meditated a lot of concepts, and chose the best one in the end. It was so interesting we can enjoyed and pretented that we were a huge ad company to make a commercial ad. Actually, the procedure wasn't easy and we felt a little frustrated since we weren't really Mass Media Department. There were a lot of techniques which we did not know how to solve. Eventually, we solved it and finished our first commercial ad. I am so proud and in front of my computer to see our work again and again just like a director. I think at least over 50 times tonight.

Manhattan
Our school takes care of us a lot. This weekend we went to see Broadway show each only paid $15 including the bus from school to Manhattan. The name of the show is "The color purple". Actually I did not really understand what they want to express, especially when they sang the song, the situation was even worse. But I like the decor and the beautiful voice, I never image human beings can sing like them. I am lucky that my school is in New York so I can enjoy the Broadway show in Manhattan, the food from all of the world, many kinds of parades, and crazy shopping. In this big big city, there are too many temptations around us. I want to study but also want to enjoy. I recommend our school designs a course about how to manage our time. This big apple is so sweet that everyone wants to bite it.
Many first times in the same day
This blog is very hard to write down the title since there were so many first time happening yesterday, for example, my first time Thanksgiving dinner, first time eating turkey, first time having a dinner with my professor, first time seeing the oven personally, first time being inviting to foreigner's house and so on. Our writing class professor is a very kindly person and invited us these foreign students to celebrate and experience the Thanksgiving Day at her home. All of us were so happy and excited. We served her lovely house as a scenic spot and took a lot of pictures except washroom. We enjoyed the turkey, cramberry, sweet potato, stuffing, and a delicious vegetable. The laughing accompanied with us all night. Our professor's husband is a person who has a innate sense of humor. He let us really experience the phrase "American style humor". For instance, when he was cutting the turkey, a slice of meat suddenly slid on the air and all of us bawled, he said" The turkey is still trying to flying." Last night was the best night that I had in U.S, the feeling of happiness surrounded us all night. Really a wonderful wonderful weekend.

Our family dog-Money
The reason of our dog was nominated "Money" is not my family likes money or wants to earn more money but the word "Money" is the only English vocabulary that my mother understands. When he was born, I was prepareing to study abroad. Money was my best friend during that studying time since I almost did n't go out except to the cram school. I trained him a lot of tricks including somersaulting on the ground, observing my order, and doing other tricks that almost every dog coold do. The most magical trick is that he can voice very angry sound when we ask him to be angry anytime. When I have homesick and miss him in America, I always call home and listen his angry voice. It is very interesting about that. I love him so much. All of us treat him as a member of our family not only a dog. For instance, one time I called home and told my mom I wanted to listen his angry sound. To my surprise, my mom asked me to call back one hour later since he still was sleeping. And I was very obedient to hang up my phone and hoped Money had a nice dream.

I am a housewife
I can't dare imagine that I am becoming a housewife before coming to United States. I hate kitchen from being a childhood. The reason is ridiculous but I thought it was true "Man should be far away a kitchen." This month everything is changing since I have financial problem. Every month my expenditure is one thousand dollars without the rent. I didn't buy any luxurious goods but I dined out everyday. Last month my classmate gave me a comment. As a result, I am going to cook by myself. As long as I was available, I searched the recipe from Internet and tried to imitate how to cook. After two weeks, now I can speak loudly I am a great Chinese food chef. Nothing is impossible.

True love is invincible
Now I believe the adage "The true love is invincible." If being my reader, you would know my best friend comes to NYC in this period of time. Actually, the purpose of his return to NYC isn't to visit me but the proposal to his girlfriend. (Best friend always does this!!! damn.) I am so glad of his success yesterday. From the beginning, we don't expect that he will succeed since his girlfriend is a very very popular model in Taiwan. People can see her on many place such as fashion magazine and TV. She is from the best popular fashion model company in Taiwan. And after one or two years when the toppest level models retire, she is going to be on the top that means she will be very very rich. But now everything is over since she is deciding to get married. If you want to be very popular on TV in Taiwan, the first condition is to give up your marriage. Last Night we had a celebration in Flushing. We took a lot of pictures to memory the wonderful moment. Love is great. By the way, my friend isn't rich just like me, hehehe.....

My classmates in St. john's University
I can't dare to think if I don't have my Taiwanese classmates in St john's University, what kind of life will I have in U.S? Although most people say "Studying abroad students should make more foreign friends not hometown classmates." I agree with this opinion but I feel constrained to say "Making friends with hometown friends indeed makes me happier." We can take care of and console each other correctly due to the same culture. The classmates also give me a lot of help from the courses. Most time we discuss the content from textbook after classes and do the report together. Another side also helping me is that we have a lot of happy time after classes. The recreation is very important for us since the first semester isn't a picnic. And we also need more time to read the textbook than American do because English isn't our native language. After these pressure from studying, using my native language to express and drain my feeling is a wonderful thing. The only drawback is that they can't help me improve my English; however, I am happy that I have these Taiwanese classmates and love getting to spend time with them.
Peter Luger Steak House
I am very proud that I can taste the steak from Peter Luger Steak House where has been serving the finest USDA Prime steaks since 1887. And I am also happy because my best friend, Jason, who was my senior high school classmate treated me. He graduated from Pace University three years ago and comes back to NYC now. He appreciates me since I kindly empty my lovely room to him and his girlfriend. Now I live temporarily with my roommate, Eason, also my senior classmate. All of us have acquainted over 15 years old. Many people said that it is amazing that people can keep in touch like us without interruption. I am glad and confident that we will be the best friends forever. Meeting with best friends in foreign country has a very wonderful feeling. We ate Peter Luger awesome steak and drank red wine. The only words that I want to say in that time was " Thanks, God. Giving me the awesome food and sharing it with my best friends." Oh!!! I also want to say" All of my professors, please forgive me since I did not do any homework until the last minute due to my best friend coming to NYC." This is a link http://www.peterluger.com/. I strongly recommend that everyone should taste Peter Luger at least one time in one's life.

The Halloween Parade
The Halloween parade in New York City is the most exciting parade that I have ever had. Before I came to U.S, I never celebrated Halloween cause in Taiwan Holloween celebration is not very popular. After the midterm, I really need a place to release my pressure due to the crazy exam. Halloween parade was becoming a wonderful place that my classmates and I could go together. To my surprised, Halloween celebration is so popular that everyone does its best to make up. The parade was so amazingg like I was in another world. Sometime I felt I was in a hell or in a cartoon world. I saw a lot of ghosts, fairies, and various kinds of funny roles. I really love it.
